Dr. Roy Boone Jr, MD

Boone ignored my medical problems completely which included a dislocated rib, hypotension, Reynauds, lump in back, slipped disc in neck, strep, and shingles. He said "I want to put you on antidepressants." I replied "No thank you, I don't want any antidepressants" and explained the side effects I'd experienced when I tried them 18 years earlier. He asked "What did they have you on?" and I replied "Mirtazapine, it makes my heart stop pumping" so that's what he prescribed along with a sulfa drug I'm alleric to for my "rash". It's possible his actions, along with Alaine Lagasses', would have put me in jail with court ordered medication that would have killed me in 5 days. He also labeled me Schizoaffective and dismissed my skin miseries as neurodermatitis. His boss, Dr Ballard was fine with Boone's quackery. I warn every veteran I encounter about Boone and Lagasse and it's rare that the veteran doesn't already know to avoid them and the entire VA Kenai operation.

Where do I start? First thing he ever said to me was I'm not here to give you money. Gave me happy pills even as I said no. Extremely combative with his conversations. I'm still waiting to hear about my specialist referral that I had to drag out of him. Still waiting for the wrist brace his assistant said she would get for me. Still waiting for the social worker that I was asked if I would like to speak with. Don't like the guy and not impressed with his skills or attitude. If my rating could be 0 that's what I would mark.

Roy boone manipulated my meds, refused medical equipment, made false statements to murder me. Timothy ballard and cynthia joe of the anchorage va lied to cover it up so he can continue to murder other vets just like me.

I've lived on the Kenai over 30 years l was getting VA health care since before they ever put a clinic on the Kenai so l know the good dr boone from his start here he's arrogant and disrespectful he has more complaints and requests for transfers than any other Dr in Alaska VA history seems to miss diagnos heart problems for respiratory problems often! He lives in my village our opinion of him is he's socially dysfunctional! Lots of his ex pheasants would rather go 235m to anchorage! Be afraid

Other reviewers say it all. Stand offish, suspicious, disinterested.. He's just going through the motions. The more people he mistreats the more people he drives away which I think is his intent. Fortunately I have other doctors I can get helpful treatment from, I feel very very sorry for anyone who had to actually depend on him as their primary care provider.

i have had 3 appointments of which he only showed for the 1st, treated me poorly . the 2nd and 3rd I waited for over an hour and a half and I was the first appointment of the day. No Help To Vets On The Peninsula

Very suspicious of me during the appointment. Unusually stand-offish.

He doesn't like anyone else in exam room besides patient. He doesn't follow through on referrals to specialists and he doesn't appear to care about veterans health and comfort
